change in circumstances- part 2 ( bodyswap / JazzlikeSmile1523 ) I am about to enter the school grounds as I see a familiar car pull up. I rush over to it and say, "Hi...you're uhh...Mr. Johnson, right?" to my former body. My former body tells my son to go and have a good day. I hang onto the window as my former body says, "Hiii...so...about this..." In a clearly annoyed tone, I say “What about 'this'?” My body sighs and says, “I’m sorry. Something happened recently that I didn’t want to have to deal with, so, I decided to switch out with someone, at least for a while.” “Why me?” “That...” my body sighs. “...was an accident. I’ve been liked Mark for a while, so, I figured that I’d swap into his sister for a bit, no harm no foul.  The spell I used swaps the caster with the family member that the person you’re thinking about is closest to. Given the way I’d heard Mark talking about his sister, I’d thought that she’d be the closest to him, not you.” I sigh and say, “Okay then. How long does this thing last?" "I uhhh...put the time at uhhh...” I look at my body dead in the eyes and, with a tone of finality, say, “just say it.” My body sighs and says, “2 years.” My stomach drops as I say, “Two...” I sigh and say, “Well, I suppose it’s a good thing that I didn’t enter a high-skilled profession after all.” “What...you mean I’m going to have to...” I sigh and say, “Yeah. It’s fine though. I’ve saved up enough holiday time that you can take a month off to get accustomed to my life and we can meet up for an hour in the afternoon to get you up to speed on the systems we use.” My body smiles as it says, “Sure. Thanks Ally.” As I turn to leave, I hear my voice call out, “Oh! And I should probably tell you that they said resistance is futile,” barely a second before the car drove away. When it had left, I stood there, staring at the gates to the high school, wondering what Ally had meant when another girl, dressed like me, but probably one year ahead of Ally, came up to me, saying, "Hey, you came back!" I frowned and said, "Of course I did. I want to get my HSC/SAT." The older girl smiled, saying, "That...is a dream denied to us," as she wrapped her arm around my waist. "After being selected we get automatically enrolled into an alternate two year course...don't worry about it though, you'll come to enjoy it soon enough, if you don't try to resist." She paused, saying, "Now, come on..." and started walking, causing me to walk with her. "...I'll show you to your new locker."
