Getting to know me
Getting to know me ( u_faekitti / faekitti ) Hello! You can call me Fae. I’m not sure how much interest there is in this but I saw some other accounts doing it and thought it was nice, plus I’m feeling particularly chatty. 💖 My favorite color is pink, I’m 27, I love loose leaf tea, and am unfortunately addicted to Red Bull. Typing this reminds me that I’m out of Red Bull and will just have to suffer in the morning 😩. I do have body hair (my skin is too sensitive to shave, and also idgaf), so please fuck off if that’ll bother you. You also might have noticed I have self-harm scars. Some asshole was kind enough to DM me asking rude ass questions which prompted me to disable my DMs so you can thank that guy. I haven’t self harmed since I was a child / teenager, but unfortunately the scars will always be there to remind me about my fucked up childhood and the coping mechanisms I engaged in to survive it. So it’d be super nice and cool if you guys didn’t point them out at all, because clearly I already know and have to live with it 🩷. I’m traumatized af and have always had to deal with mental illness with a little bit of physical health issues sprinkled on as well. I don’t drink. I like to say it’s because I’m too good at it. I hate having to face the world 100% sober (weed makes me sick 🙃) but I’m managing I guess. I’m a writer, technically a published one (but I’ve only ever been paid $5 total and most of my publications have been unpaid—though I’m still grateful and happy to have my work out there). I’m working on two novels rn and they’re just kind of battling it out for which gets completed first. My #1 goal this year is to have a completed manuscript so that I can start querying agents. I dream of making a living off of my writing, but would settle with making anything at all. I hate capitalism. I love to read. My recent 5 star reads have been: “What Moves the Dead,” by T. Kingfisher (spooky House of Usher retelling), “Earthlings” by Sayaka Murata (amazing & disgusting & perfect story about not fitting in), and “Against the Loveless World” by Susan Abulhawa (a Palestinian woman in solitary confinement telling her life story). A Song of Ice and Fire is also a huge favorite of mine. I like to listen to the audiobooks repeatedly and am due for a physical reread soon. I read basically in any genre. I’m really only picky about writing quality. So if you have any suggestions… lmk, I’m always adding to my TBR. I love to play video games but don’t always have the energy for it. Skyrim was my favorite for a long time. I love the Dishonored franchise, Stardew, Elden Ring, & most recently, Baldur’s Gate 3 (I am an Astarion & Shadowheart simp)—but I haven’t been able to play act 3 unfortunately because I lost momentum and the game kept breaking whenever I tried to get back into it. I don’t play a lot of multiplayer games outside of Teamfight Tactics, which I find to be very cozy. Hmmm, I’m sure there’s other things to add, but 🤷♀️ that’s it for now. Let me know if you have any questions! I’m posting this right before bed so I’ll check sometime tomorrow. I won’t answer anything intensely personal or about my location because I don’t want to dox myself. I appreciate your kindness and all of the love 🩷. Honestly it does wonders for my body image and is making me feel much more comfortable in my sexuality (something I’ve always held a lot of shame over). 💕 getting, know, getting know
