*SPOILER* would've made a great evil companion (long rant) ( BaldursGate3 / kef34 ) Mizora would've made an amazing companion for evil route. Just hear me out. When raiding the grove we only gain one follower (Baethara, and she's still bare bones) and miss out on three, potentially four if we fail to persuade Gale. We need more, and Mizora is basically right there! From her own words, she was captured when scouting Moonrise on orders from Big Z herself, so in my uneducated opinion she should be locked in that pod regardless of wether Wyll is with us or not. There's is a grey area there. Like maybe she learned about the cult and Moonrise from seeing through Wyll's sending stone eye, but that doesn't have to be the only option. She already knows Wyll is tadpoled, he encounters absolutists right at the grove's gates. Mizora knows something is up and can learn about Moonrise from alternative sources. Like Jaheira did for example. But without Wyll there's no one else to save her from there. Except us. That is a perfect set-up for making her join the group. We find her there and negotiate some sort of contract (signature in blood, Sisters of Justice, the whole thing) that forces her to help us fight the Absolute in return for saving her. Definitely not as binding as her contract with Wyll, seeing how heavily disadvantaged her position is in these negotiations Mizora uses default body type so she can use any in-game armor. She already got playable class assigned to her (she is a sorcerer, she have metamagic if you examine her) despite never engaging in fights ever. And sorcerer is a charisma caster same as warlock, so she will synergize very well with all the equipment we usually put on Wyll. Not to mention she'd look a lot better in Alfira's Potent Robes There might be an argument that "oh she's too powerful, she's a patron of multiple warlocks, how can she ever be lvl 8-12". To that I say: if there's a will, there is a way. We got "archdruid" Halsin at lvl6 who isn't even tadpoled to "nerf" him like the rest of the party. Maybe she's weakened from being trapped in Moonrise, the proximity to the brain sapped her powers somehow and they can only be restored once the brain is dead. Maybe there's a clause in our contract that limits how much power a devil can offer us in a fight because of some divine blah-blah cosmic *balance* (yes, this word is supposed to be read in Withers' voice), and devils would rather die than break contract. Just look af Yurgir as prime example. There are ways around it is what I'm saying. Yes, she can fly by default, but after Moonrise you almost immediately get the astral tadpole and can teach your entire party to fly, so it isn't that unbalanced. One subclass of sorcerers gets flight at lvl11, which is basically around the corner after you clear Moonrise anyway. And as a character she is amazing as well. Compared to Minthara's evil that is rooted in brutal and ruthless pragmatism, Mizora's evil is cheeky, sardonic, playful and loving every second of being an insufferable asshole. It would make for great contrast between them. Having her around could give us a lot more insight into Hell's internal workings, politics and culture. How how denizens of hells live and think, what makes them tick beyond being evil. Just think of how can she interact with Raphael when he offers us his deal! And if we somehow get Wyll killed and save the Grove anyway, we could even get her on a good playthrough. Just think of the banter Karlach could have with Mizora. Maybe gain some more insight on what Zariel and Gortash did to Karlach and why. Maybe we could even have a more in-depth romance path instead of a simple one-night-stand. Yes, a romance with the devil is as bad of an idea as if sounds, but it's far from the worst thing we can get ourselves into in this game. Maybe something along the lines of a "romance" with ascended Astarion but without a more healthy alternative? I'm sure there'd be plenty of people who are into that sort of thing. Evil route is lacking in so many ways. I know this is waaaay too much to ask from the devs that gave us so much snd already moved on to their next project.
